Spring Cleaning... In Summer??

Post Type: Blog-Related (Update)

                  Where have--
I'd rather just get right back to it.
In reality, there was quite the long-ass time for me to not post anything (basically, the entirety of last year). I genuinely apologize for that. I tried to do some IRL improvements on myself, including an IRL job, but now I've gotten to a point that I can also attempt to work again on my passion projects a lot more. Preferably.
Best way to do it, in my opinion, was to actually just start posting again, and only after getting a few posts in, to call it "I'm back". Since last time, I really was back for only a couple of posts. This time, I'd like to keep it stable, once again.
I did also work, for the past year, for PK on "Queendom of Lithzena" (decent game with stable updates, check it out if you van), so there's that, too. I'm generally down to help gamedevs with their projects, especially if it helps them get to a stable update schedule (one of the key issues with most of us in this space...). If you're a gamedev interested in speeding up your game development (Code, Writing, Playtesting), hit me up in the DMs, I might be able to help!

                  Now,  the New Stuff:

                  New Shit on the Blog
Besides the new Reviews I posted, I did add a couple of new Tags, in the category of general fetishes, specifically the ones pertaining to Transformations. I somehow did not hit that much upon transformations in past games (most notably, Feminizations; but others can also occur).
Other than that, I now made an example of both a SeriesView and a MiniView, 2 variations on the standard Review format that will help me cover stuff that wouldn't normally fit nicely into a basic Review. I also added the proper Tags for those Review types, too!
A MiniView is a smaller version of a Review. For scoring & reviewing of game elements, it still has the Main Categories, but without the subcategories. I may still consider them in my mind while talking in each category, but they aren't distinctive enough to warrant more than just a paragraph each. This type of Review will only be used for small games that are wayy to small to fit into a normal Review, but are singular and cannot be grouped in a SeriesView. I'll rarely use this format, since usually, this type of games barely have any Files to share on them, but it might be useful if a Circle Group I already extensively covered makes a small game in the meanwhile that warrants at least a quick shoutout, if nothing else.
By comparison, a SeriesView is much more useful, as it gives me a format by which to finally tackle either long-spanning Series, or a number of similar games from the same Circle Group, instead of requiring 10+ individual reviews (when the individual games wouldn't warrant that much individual attention). In format, it's first a "MiniView" of the Circle Group / Developer / Company taken as a whole, which means the basic categories being considered. Afterwards, per each game covered in the SeriesView, I provide a "QuickView" (brief sum-up of the game), with a dedicated Score. Thus, a SeriesView has both an Overall Score for the Developer themselves (their work, I mean), and individual approximate scores per each Game. This should be enough information for people to still make informed decisions, after reading the SeriesView, whilst also making my job easier in covering such Series, by streamlining the process. Took me a while to think of all the details and make them work.... Glad it did.

Banners & Pics : Now in HD!
If you're, perhaps, subscribed to my Patreon (at least as a Free Member; although I wouldn't mind the extra Support, especially soon...), you might've now noticed a bit of a fresh change on the visuals of it. Indeed, I've finally stopped using the beginner-level Photoshop edits, and switched to using Koikatsu's CharaStudio! This also was an effort to learn, in of itself, however, it'll serve me a lot more for my coming ideas... For the time being, this is a nice test of what I can manage in the Program, after tens of hours of tutorials and similar amounts of time of personal experimenting with everything available in that program. God damn, a clusterfuck of Mods and Plugins, and to a collection-ist like me, they all feel important to have... What if they come into use later, right?....

So, from here on out, I'll start mentioning real details of my plans only when I'm well on my way to accomplish them, instead of giving false hopes or just being overall unserious. This approach should work better, I think!
